The cabbage did so well in 2010 that we decided to try it again this year. We planted the cabbage amongst pole beans and tomatoes; we didn’t run into the infamous cabbage worm and hope to have the same success this year.

 Today’s dinner included cabbage as a side dish. We decided on a soul food spread as requested by all of the kids since we don’t really have it often. You’ll find the recipe posted soon at our Parchment Paper Baker blog. Herbs are hardy and most are perennials meaning they’ll grow back year after year. The herbs that we planted stayed green throughout the winter. I was able to pick fresh herbs for us to cook soups and stews with. For more information you can visit their website at
